Folkesound takes over the Grand Burstin Ballroom on Saturday 10th October for a full evening of live music in one of Folkestone’s biggest rooms.
Bringing together four brilliant acts from Folkestone and across the Kent music scene, The Autumn Ball moves through rock, blues, soul and funk, with live music from 18:00 and plenty to keep you dancing throughout the night.
User Friendly
Long-established Kent classic rock band User Friendly are bringing the big guitars to The Autumn Ball.
Based in Dover, the five-piece have built a huge repertoire of classic rock covering the 70s and 80s, with music from the likes of Queen, AC/DC, Journey, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Deep Purple, Whitesnake and Van Halen.
If you like your live music loud, familiar and made for singing along to, this should do the job.
Project F
Things get seriously funky with Project F.
The Margate-based band have been a regular part of the Kent live music scene for more than a decade, bringing together soul classics, 70s funk, jazz-inspired grooves and plenty of improvisation.
Fronted by Ginger Bennett, Project F mix Motown and old-school soul with funk covers and their own original material. They’ve previously appeared at events including Margate Soul Festival and have played right here in Folkestone at the Harbour Arm.
Expect groove, energy and very little chance of standing still.
Callum Sutton Band
Callum Sutton Band bring their own blend of blues, soul, funk, rock ’n’ roll, jazz and world music to the Ballroom.
Callum has spent more than a decade performing across the UK and Europe, building a sound around original songwriting, soulful vocals and a band that can move effortlessly between bluesy grooves and much bigger, high-energy moments.
Kieren Mensah
Flying the flag for Folkestone is Kieren Mensah, one of the town’s most exciting young blues guitarists.
Kieren has become a familiar face on the local live music circuit, performing with his own trio as well as playing lead guitar for Katie B and The Snooks alongside performances further afield including London’s Soho live music scene.
He has already appeared at Folkesound Rocks earlier this year, and we’re very happy to have him back for The Autumn Ball.
Expect blues at the heart of it, with some seriously good guitar playing thrown in.
Four acts. One ballroom. One big night of live music in Folkestone.
Whether you’re here for classic rock, soul, blues or funk, The Autumn Ball brings four very different acts together for a proper night of live music at the Grand Burstin Ballroom.
